Serve in Haiti with Young Life Expeditions

HAITI FLAG.jpgYoung Life has been operating in Haiti since 1999 and has grown at a phenomenal rate. The ministry is led by a dedicated and courageous leadership team — 13 staff and more than 150 leaders. There are flourishing ministries in approximately 10 communities throughout the country, with the majority based in the capital city of Port-au-Prince. In 2010, the country experienced a devastating earthquake and is still recovering from the aftermath. Participants can expect to be deeply impacted by their visit to Haiti serving among the most poor and vulnerable people in the Western Hemisphere.

Details

Expedition teams that serve with Young Life in Haiti will have an opportunity to serve both in the capital city of Port-Au-Prince and in a rural community with a strong Young Life presence. Opportunities may include community outreach, serving an orphanage, school or children's hospital, Young Life construction projects, visiting Young Life club, and engaging with leaders and staff. Teams will have ample opportunity to experience Haitian culture and see the beauty of the country and her people. Most teams spend the final day and half at the beach before departure. Works teams typically consist of 10-24 people.

Please Note: Participants must be 18 years and older to travel with Young Life on an Expedition at this time.
